The John Cunningham Student Centre, Scots College

One of the most intricate and challenging carpentry projects Savcon has undertaken to date, this build required the use of modern techniques to faithfully recreate the historic Scots Baronial design.

To ensure absolute precision from manufacture through to installation, both 2D detailing and 3D modelling were utilised throughout the process.

The project featured an extensive use of timber, including hand-sculpted Waratahs and thistles, solid laminated handrails, over 70 unique timber profiles, custom theatrette pews upholstered in Scots Blue cushions and bespoke wrought iron balustrades – each element meticulously crafted to honour the architectural legacy of the design.
