University of Newcastle - Gosford Campus

Savcon was engaged to deliver preconstruction and installation services for Gosford’s first mass timber building—a landmark development for the Central Coast Campus. The project features 550m³ of CLT and 480m³ of glulam, forming the highly visual superstructure.

Early involvement allowed Savcon to work closely with the project team to optimise logistics, sequencing, and build ability in a regional context. This collaboration enabled the rapid and precise installation of the timber elements.

The building is designed to achieve a 6 Star Green Star rating and will house flexible teaching and learning spaces, a community engagement area, innovation hub, event facilities, and accessible outdoor zones.
