Macquarie University - Clinical Education Building

This project, built by Savcon, was headed by Buildcorp Group bringing to life Macquarie University’s vision for longevity and biophilia for all current & future students, lecturers & visitors alike.

Built in 2019, visiting this imposing building today, still gives us the sense of welcoming strength, warmth, safety, beauty & character, all with minimising carbon footprint. It is no surprise that the Ainsworth Building won the Australian Institute of Architects (NSW) Awards, Educational Architecture Award, in 2021 and Australian Timber Design Awards, People’s Choice Award, in 2020 and shortlisted for 2021 Sustainability Award in the Education and Research Category.

Construction that is environmentally friendly, strong & everlasting can best be achieved when using timber as the core material.
